Changing your mind

You have 14 days from the day you sign up to change your mind about proceeding with the action and simply need to inform us in writing that you no longer wish to proceed with the claim. Funding Agreement Summary

We realise that the sign-up documents are lengthy and contain legal jargon that we are required to provide to you by law. We have therefore set out below a summary of our funding arrangement.

Funding

  1. You are signing a “No Win, No Fee” agreement with Leigh Day. If we don’t win compensation for you, and you keep to the terms of the agreement, you won’t be charged a penny.
  2. If you do win, we will deduct a fee equivalent to 35% of any compensation obtained, together with a maximum contribution of £150 towards the expenses we incur on your behalf.
  3. We think that’s fair as we are taking a risk bringing the claim on a “No Win, No Fee” basis and we hope that you feel this is fair too.

  4. Co-operating with us

  5. As part of the agreement, we require you to keep in touch with us and to behave reasonably. If you fail to cooperate with us, e.g. by not providing us with your upto-date contact details or ignoring our calls, emails or letters, then we will no longer be able to act for you and will treat you as ending our agreement. Therefore, please only sign up if you are willing to cooperate. Please refer to our funding document for our rights if you fail to co-operate.
  6. To be eligible to join the claim you need to be an hourly-paid store worker or have left your employment within the last six months. This is due to the strict time limits in place for submitting a claim to the Employment Tribunal once your employment has ended.

After you accept the terms of the “No Win, No Fee” agreement, you will receive an email confirming that you are a client of Leigh Day. If the team require any further information from you, they will contact you by phone or via email.
